Worried you cannot cut it? Sweet Adelines is an educational organization. We do not expect you to be a seasoned barbershopper (yes, that’s a word—at least to me) or a fantastic solo singer. We do, however, expect a passion to learn and a desire to strive for more; excellence is an achievable goal. If you provide the fuel, we will provide the vehicle.
After a few weeks, you will be asked to audition. Though the process may vary depending on the circumstance, most likely you will be asked to record yourself while singing in a chorus setting. The recording will then be evaluated to determine if you can hold your part and sing on pitch. With no instruments to reset the key, each singer must hold their own.
