Doing the work. Learning the craft.

We continued working on What’ll I Do and Friend Like Me. We are also enjoying learning tags. We were excited to see two more never barbershopped guests. We are spreading the artform! Sorry, I forgot to take pictures!

We’d love to welcome more to our rehearsals. Please reach out to us or just show up—even if you are just curious.

Good is Fun!

It all begins with an idea.

We sang. We laughed. We focused. We learned.

It didn’t take long for the joy of harmonizing to overtake the nervousness of the unknown. We sang three different tags and with each chord, more eyes started smiling. We then moved on to page 2 of What’ll I Do. David lead us through challenges to achieve success. Our motto soon became, “Good is Fun!”

After working on what will be our contest ballad, we moved to Friend Like Me from Aladdin. We started with speaking in tempo and then added the notes. We did well if I do say so myself. I think this tune will be a favorite and hold a special place in our hearts.

The level of musicianship blew me away. I’ve never experienced this kind of hard-working joy. We shared our talents and our energies to create music—and on the first night! I shake my head in wonder thinking of the potential.

…but there is room for more!
